Representative Ralph Norman (R-SC-05)​

   

Republican Member of Congress representing South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. In his district, he represents 5 of our stores and approximately 850 associates.​

Representative Ralph Norman was re-elected on November 8th, 2022 to represent South Carolina’s 5th district with 64.0% of the vote. He has been a member of U.S. Congress since originally being elected in a 2017 special election, and his current area of representation includes Cherokee, Fairfield, Union, York, Lancaster, Kershaw, and Chester counties.​

As a member of the Freedom Caucus, Rep. Norman has been a Member of Congress who always aligns with the overwhelming number of Republicans on an array of issues. During his time in Congress, he has remained focused on several issues related to limiting government and advancing conservative fiscal policies. Rep. Norman has been focused on combating inflation, advocating for law enforcement, supporting lawful immigration, urging that both education infrastructure be managed by state & local governments, enhancing benefits for veterans, lowering federal spending, and implementing free-market solutions for healthcare.​

Rep. Norman currently serves on the Committee on Financial Services, upon which he is a member of the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and the Subcommittee on Housing & Insurance. Furthermore, he is also a member of the House Committee on the Budget and the House Committee on Rules.​​​

Prior to being elected to the U.S. House, Rep. Norman began serving in elected office at the state level – serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017. Before working in politics, Rep. Norman was a real estate developer at the Warren Norman Company.​

Rep. Norman graduated from Presbyterian College with a bachelor’s degree in business.​
